Alliance Center

Denver, CO

The Alliance Center is home to the Alliance for Sustainable Colorado and located in Lower Downtown Denver’s historic district, aka LoDo. Built in 1908 as a warehouse, the 38,000 sq. ft. project has been updated becoming the first historic building in the world to receive two LEED certifications. The most recent renovation was completed in June 2014 and is designed to earn a LEED/EB Operations and Maintenance Platinum certification.

The interior renovation provides common area spaces for the tenants giving the users space flexibility for collaboration and multiple conference/lecture configurations. The GWS walls can be opened and stacked to provide a state-of-the-art event space for lectures, parties, and gatherings. When closed, two conference/classroom spaces with floor to ceiling white boards and glass walls are created.

“The sustainability movement benefits from having a physical location that is both a hub for collaboration and a model of how buildings can be designed and operated to increase productivity and inspire innovation.” Anna Zawisza, Executive Director for Alliance for Sustainable Colorado
